Our academic assessment helps us understand what your child already knows, where learning gaps may be present, and which skills should be addressed first.

Each assessment is completed individually and adjusted based on your child’s grade level, responses, and current skill development.​

This is not a pass-or-fail test or a formal diagnosis. It is an instructional assessment designed to guide tutoring recommendations and create a personalized learning plan.

Our reading assessment looks at the foundational skills that support accurate, fluent, and meaningful reading. Depending on your child’s age, grade, and responses, areas assessed may include:

• Phonological and phonemic awareness

• Letter recognition and letter-sound knowledge

• Decoding and phonics patterns

• Word reading and sight-word recognition

• Reading fluency and accuracy

• Vocabulary and oral language

• Reading comprehension

• Spelling, when appropriate

Our math assessment looks at how your child understands numbers, solves problems, and applies mathematical thinking. Depending on your child’s grade and responses, areas assessed may include:

• Number recognition and counting

• Quantity concepts and number sense

• Place value

• Addition and subtraction

• Multiplication and division, when appropriate

• Fact fluency

• Word problems and mathematical reasoning

• Measurement, time, money, and geometry when relevant​​​
